About Desirea

Desirea has more than a decade of criminal defense experience providing support to clients, client family members, and attorneys. Before joining DeChant Law, she spent over a decade at the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office as a legal administrator and paralegal, supporting teams of defense attorneys and managing the logistics of hundreds of felony cases at a time. That work gave her a strong knowledge of criminal procedure, how courts actually run, and what people accused of crimes face day to day.

She has worked on defense teams handling cases from DUI to homicide, and she believes preparation and attention to detail are where a strong defense starts. She was DeChant Law’s first employee and helped build DeChant Law to where we are today through grit and dedication to providing unreasonable representation to people who trust us with their lives.

Desirea is one of the most reliable and helpful people you will meet. Her passion for helping people shows as she helps people navigate the most difficult times of their lives. If she doesn’t know the answer to a question, which is rare, she does not hesitate to find it.

When not working Desirea enjoys spending time with her family and friends throughout Colorado. She is a Colorado native.
