DeChant Law Motto

Mark Blechman

Mark honed his elite litigation skills at the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office. There, he represented hundreds of individuals across Colorado—from the Eastern Plains to the Denver metro area—defending clients against charges ranging from DUIs and domestic violence to complex sexual assault and homicide cases. Over the course of his career, Mark has taken more than 50 jury trials to verdict, consistently delivering premier service and exceptional results.

While Mark is incredibly proud of his courtroom victories, his work is truly driven by the partnerships he forms with his clients. Operating on the belief that every person has a unique, vital story, his top priority is creating a supportive space where clients feel genuinely heard and understood ensuring their voice resonates powerfully in court.

Before joining DeChant Law, Mark served as an Assistant Attorney General. In this role, he acted as litigation and general counsel for prominent state professional boards, including the Board of Nursing, the Board of Chiropractic Examiners, and the Office of Funeral and Mortuary Science Services. This tenure gave him extensive expertise in administrative law and a highly nuanced understanding of how the state makes licensing decisions and enforces disciplinary matters. Today, Mark leverages this unique background to offer a specialized, cohesive defense for professionals facing parallel licensing and criminal challenges.
